The Amulet of Power is a magical silver amulet in Siege of Dragonspear, Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal and The Black Pits I and II.

It provides the wearer the beneficial status effect of Vocalize, along with a stackable 5% bonus to magical resistance and a stackable casting time reduction of 1. It also grants an immunity to level drain, which is very handy while fighting vampires.

DescriptionEdit

This amulet bears the signature enchantments of Conster Damon, an archmage that fell in the Year of the Dracorage (1018 DR). The crispness of its etchings may have faded with fire and time, but it still echoes his famous defiant cries: "Your magic denied!" "I will be heard!" "Defeat comes swiftly!" "Take nothing from me!" It has seen much use, and changed hands many times through blood and battle.

Gameplay Edit

  • The list of classes that can't use this amulet differs by game edition:
  • Works on spells from both wizard and priest spellbooks, as well as for spell scrolls. Haste further cuts down the reduced time to the half, and it also stacks with the Robe of Vecna.
  • See also Time Stop.

BugsEdit

  • When equipped, this amulet prevents the icon for Domination to be shown on the wearer's portrait, but does not protect from this spell effect itself.
  • Some of the non-player characters who have this already equipped don't match the class requirements.
