Andarsson is one of many slaves found in the Cloakwood Mines during Baldur's Gate. He's a bit more willful than the other slaves and not particularly afraid of punishment, given what he and others have to say.
Like most slaves in the area, he merely serves to help reinforce the setting and their predicament; in Andarsson's case, his dialogue implies that he wasn't always a slave and that he has a very bleak future.
