Blackrazor is an enchanted long sword +3 with some powerful enchantments for its level. Every opponent hit by this weapon has a 15% chance that 4 levels are drained, while healing the wielder of the blade with 20 points, hasting him and raising the wielder's strength for 20 seconds. The wielder also regenerates 1 hitpoint every 5 seconds and gives him immunity to the status effects of fear and charm.

The weapon itself inflicts 1d8 +3 points of slashing damage, has a -3 THAC0 bonus, a speed factor of 2 and it weighs 4 lbs. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

It can be acquired in the challenge of Greed in Hell during Baldur's Gate II Chapter 7 from the demon of greed. It must be given to the genie to gain the Tear of Bhaal from this challenge. However, Gorion's Ward can also decide to keep the sword and kill the genie. But this choice does change the alignment of the character to neutral evil, which is a small step for a character already evil, but may be a high price for neutral and good characters.

Note: When the target is level-drained to death, it acts like the Disintegrate effect which has a good chance to destroy some or all of the items the target is carrying.

In-game description

Blackrazor, Long Sword +3

This sword radiates evil like a sour odor, and the owner never knows if he wields the weapon, or if it wields him. In addition to its combat abilities, Blackrazor slowly regenerates its owner with the drained strength of opponents.
