Blindness temporarily blinds the targeted creature.

In-game descriptionEdit

This 1st-level spell temporarily blinds its target. A Saving Throw is allowed and, if successful, there are no harmful effects. If a victim is blinded, he receives a -4 penalty to his attack rolls and Armor Class.

Gameplay notesEdit

The real power of this spell comes not from the ThAC0 and AC penalties(which are strong in their own right) but from the "undocumented" feature that affected enemies have their sight range reduced to 0. Since they cannot see anything, they cannot attack anything either.

This applies to all spells that cause blinded status effect.
