Boots of Stealth, also known as the Worn Whispers, are a pair of enchanted boots which offer bonuses to hide in shadow and move silently, depending on the game. This item appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and it will probably appear in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

In Baldur's Gate, it offers a +35% to Hide in Shadow bonus, which is useful for rangers and thieves. There are two pairs of these boots in the game, one pair is needed to complete the subquest Zhurlong's Boots. The other pair can be found in the inventory of a specific hobgoblin around the ruins of Ulcaster.

In Baldur's Gate II, it offers 20% hide in shadow and +15% move silently. The boots can be found in Mae'Var's safe on the second floor of his guildhall. Samuel Thunderburp at the Five Flagons Inn will also give you a pair of these boots if Mazzy Fentan is in your party.

In-game descriptionEdit

In ages past, a king named Rhigaerd was renowned for the spies he kept. So skillful were they, that no nook or cranny escaped their eyes and maps were held for entire castles amd towns. Eventually betrayed from within, the tools of their trade were taken and dispersed, ensuring that none could amass such a band again.
