Bracers of Binding is a pair of cursed bracers which make it very difficult for the wearer to participate in combat, as they lower damage by 5 points, increase spell failure to 75% and give the wearer a +5 penalty to THACO. Since they are cursed, they can't be unequiped without a Remove Curse spell or the services of a priest. This item appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

In Baldur's Gate, a pair can be found on the Isle of Balduran.

In Baldur's Gate II, it can be looted from a window on one of the buildings in the Drow city of Ust Natha.

The bracers appear to be Bracers of Specialization, but when donned, bind the wearer wrists together, making it quite difficult to wield a weapon or cast a spell. These bracers are sometimes offered as rewards for services rendered by the drow. The recipient, believing them to be very powerful, will often don them before examining them. At this point, the drow find it amusing to conjure a hook horror.
