Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear features seven cinematic cutscenes, an opening and an ending cinematic, two narrative cinematics and three additional cinematics that are being re-used from Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. Just like the main game, all cuscenes feature hand-drawn graphic animatics instead of 3D animation and have been created with WEB.[1]

A list of the entire series' cinematics can be found here.

Opening

This cinematic begins with a quote by the Greek biographer and essayist Plutarch:

“ Fate leads him who follows it, and drags him who resists. ”

It is then followed by a narrated recap of the events from the first game while establishing to the setting of Siege of Dragonspear, including an introduction of the main antagonist, Caelar Argent, and her Crusade. The narration is done by Kevin Michael Richardson, the voice of Sarevok.

The Murder of Skie Silvershield

This is a dream-like scene of the Hooded Man using the Soultaker Dagger to murder Skie Silvershield in Dragonspear Caste. Like the one before it is in greyscale with red highlights. It features voice lines by David Warner.

“ Rise! It is time. You know what you must do: Embrace the darkness coiling within you. Take the dagger, kill her. Take it! Even now you resist, you are more powerful than I thought. All that I truly require is your presence. ”
