Starting this quest allows you to eventually recruit Dorn Il-Khan in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. He can be found in The Friendly Arm. When you talk to him, he mistakes you for a waiter of the inn and asks you to bring him a beer. Whether you refuse his order or do what he says, you can't recruit him yet.
After that first encounter with Dorn, travel to Nashkel Mines, and the party will be ambushed by some brigands by the names of Senjak and Dorotea and five unnamed bandits. Dorn will take out three bandits before the fight starts. After they are killed, Dorn offers to join your party.
After joining the party, Dorn will ask you to help him hunt down those who betrayed him, since he's not so good at asking questions. He seeks two additional betrayers, and the quest continues.
Charmed, I'm Sure
The first of Dorn's betrayers that you will track down is the necromancer Kryll. Speak to Taris outside the Nashkel Inn to initiate this stage of the quest, then head to the Area East of Nashkel Mines.
Another One Bites the Dust
A letter found on Kryll's body initiates the final stage of Dorn's quest.

A brooding half-orc at the Friendly Arm Inn mistook me for a servant. I had half a mind to tell him where to stick his jutting teeth but decided against it. He looks like the sort who'd be handy in a fight. Perhaps we'll meet again under more favorable circumstances.

When you first travel to the Nashkel Mines area, you will be ambushed before you get there by Senjak and Dorotea, who are in turn ambushed by Dorn. Once the battle is over, Dorn will ask to join your party.
