Faber is one of many slaves found in the Cloakwood Mines during Baldur's Gate. He plays the part of the proverbial 'rat', serving as the inside man loyal to the present authority.

Upon being discovered, he will hail Gorion's Ward thinking them to be the guards, claiming a fellow slave - Andarsson - was speaking ill of someone apparently noteworthy - Davaeorn. Despite immediately running off to warn the guards, no guards will be alerted by Faber, and he is one of the few slaves that can be killed without penalty to one's Reputation.

Guards! Guards! Andarsson's speaking ill of Davaeorn... Wait! You're no guards... Aaah... Guards! Guards!
