Flails are spiked weapons and they are uncommonly used by enemies. It requires 13 strength and one hand to use most flails. The weapon inflicts 1d6 +1 crushing damage, has a weight of 15 lbs and a speed factor of 7. Flails are sold at stores selling weapons. The weapon has a range of 1 ft, which means there is no gap between the wielder and the enemy. Druids, mages and thieves can't use this weapon. This item appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

In-game descriptionEdit

The flail is a sturdy wooden handle attached to an iron rod, a wooden rod with spikes, or a spiked iron ball. Between the handle and its implement is either a hinge or chain link. The weapon was originally used as a tool for threshing grain.
