Longbows are ranged weapons which can be used by fighters, paladins, rangers and bards. Longbows must be used with two hands and they require 6 Strength to wield. It can be used to fire normal and enchanted arrows. This weapon appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate EE, Baldur's Gate II and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. In the game of Baldur's Gate, this weapon falls under the Bow Weapons proficiency, while in the other games it's in the Longbow proficiency.

In Baldur's Gate, this weapon is sold at almost all weapons stores. It can also be obtained by killing Black Talon mercenaries.

In-game descriptionEdit

The longbow is similar to the shortbow, except that the staff is about as tall as the archer is—usually six to six-and-a-half feet. It has better range and accuracy than the shortbow, but a slower Speed Factor.
