The Robe of Vecna is a set of robes for mages and it offers like all the robes of the aligned archmagi, a basic armor class of 5, but this robe can be used by all alignments, offers magical resistance bonus of 10%, instead of +5% and lowers the amount of time needed to cast spell by 4 units, but it doesn't offer a +1 bonus to all saving throws, which the robes of the aligned archmagi do.

(SoA), it's sold by Deidre in the middle of the Adventurer's Mart.

This robe doesn't even have close to the power that the two famous artifacts, the Hand and Eye of Vecna, possess. Still, from simply being worn by the powerful lich, the robe absorbed enough magical energies to become a potent magic item.

Gameplay Edit

  • Even with a casting time of 1, which is the fastest natural chanting period of all spells, there’s still chance to get interrupted, with Robe of Vecna combined with Amulet of Power, many spells’ chanting time will be reduced to zero, which means instantaneous, uninterruptible, just like class exclusive abilities such as Kai, Offensive spin, HLAs such as Critical Strike and Whirlwind Attack. The reduction applies to sequencers, as well as "spell-originated" class abilities such as inquisitors’ True Sight, whose casting time were originally 1
  • Works on spells from both wizard and priest spellbooks; works for quick slot scroll castings, with Haste further cut the reduced time in half; stacks with Amulet of Power
