The Robe of the Evil Archmagi offers protection from magical attacks and physical ones, making it the ideal armor for mages. This robe can only be worn by characters of an evil alignment. It offers an armor class of 5, 5% magic resistance and +1 bonus to all saving throws. This robe is almost identical to Robe of the Neutral Archmagi and Robe of the Good Archmagi, except that this is made for a different alignment and has different colors.

- Dropped by Davaeorn, in the last level of the Cloakwood mines.
- Another can be found, in BG:EE only, in [v1.1.2012]. Baeloth in Larswood has one, but it is considered as a stolen item for trading purposes (i.e. only Black Lily in Baldur's Gate will buy it.
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
- Can be bought from the Ust Natha stores.
- Acquired from killing the dragon in Hell.
Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal
- Equipped by default on Edwin Odesseiron if he was not a party member in Shadows of Amn.
- Can be bought from the Arcana Archives in Saradush.
