The Skull of Death is a helmet that, as its name implies, resembles a skull. It allows to use Death Spell as a charge ability.

It appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal and the Enhanced edition.

Acquisition

The Skull of Death is initially owned by Vithal, who can be found in the Underdark. He must be killed to obtain it.

Description

The mad necromancer-lich N'Ashtar Nikadeemus forged this helmet from the bones of his own parents. His highest ranked general would wear it when he rode into battle, using it to instantly slay the commander of the opposing army. After that, the skeletal armies of N'Ashtar would overrun their demoralized enemies. When N'Ashtar finally fell, the Skull of Death was supposedly destroyed.
