After arriving at The Black Pits, each party member will find a ring on their right finger which can't be removed – the Slave Ring.
It has no apparent effects on the wearer, other than hindering them from equipping two rings of their own choice and branding them as slave.
Gameplay[]
The ring exists only for game mechanical reasons and applies some important effects to its wearer:
- grants a minimum of one hit point;
- disables permanent death;
- gives immunity to slaying;
- hinders weapons from getting broken.

- If a Black Pits character is exported to the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, this ring will be removed again.
