The Sling of Arvoreen is a sling +4 in terms of enchantment. Unlike the sword and bow of Arvoreen, this weapon is usable by all races. It has +4 bonus to damage, -4 bonus to THAC0 and a speed factor of 2.
This weapon also has the ability to stun a target for three rounds (18 seconds real-time) if they don't save vs. spells. It stuns all enemies in a 60 ft. radius of the target. This ability is magical, but it nonetheless ignores magical resistance and its stun effect can't be dispelled/cured (whether by dispel magic or spells that cure stun like Remove Paralysis).
This item only appears in Shadows of Amn and the Enhanced Edition where it can be found in the in the beholders' area in the Underdark .

This sling is blessed by the Halfling goddess Arvoreen. The weapon was granted to the heroic Tuckerby Lettleworp after the Battle of Moor Road, in which an invading army of Yuan-ti were slain by Lettleworp's forces, saving his halfling village. The sling has the ability to rend the senses of the wielders enemies with a wall of sound said to be the voice of the goddess herself. |
