Description

Storm of Vengeance

Casting this spell causes the earth to shake and the heavens to boil with blood and energy. All enemies of the caster are struck down by acidic rain, earthquakes, and lightning.

All enemies of 8th level or lower are slain instantly. The survivors are struck by acidic, poisonous rain and lightning. The storm lasts for 3 rounds. Each round, the victims suffer 1d6 electrical damage, 1d6 fire damage, and 1d6 acid damage (Save vs. Spell for half damage). They also have a chance to be poisoned (Save vs. Death negates) in the first round.

Gameplay[]

  • As soon as the storm begins, all enemies with 8 or less levels (including those that are level drained to reach this threshold) are Slayed by the extreme toxicity. Enemies who survive will become Poisoned and suffer 4 damage per second for 3 rounds, unless they save vs. Death, even if they leave the area of effect.
  • The storms lasts 3 rounds, and 3 times it inflicts 1D6 each Acid, Electrical and Fire damage (save vs spell for half) to all enemies caught in it.

    Golems, undeads and creatures with at least 100% resistance to Poison damage are exempted from all poison effects and survive even when level 8 or below.

  • The description mentions 270 ft. range, yet 50 ft. is the range according to game files.[1]
     
  • The spell has no school and so Spell Immunity is not effective and dual classed Evoker/Cleric gets no benefit.

Casting this spell causes the earth to shake and the heavens to boil with blood and energy. All hostile creatures within the area are struck by a storm of acidic, poisonous rain and lightning that lasts several rounds.

Each round, the victims suffer 2d6 points of electrical damage and 2d6 points of acid damage (save vs. breath at -6 for half damage). They also have a chance to be poisoned each round (save vs. death at -6 or suffer 2 points of damage per second for one round).

Note: This spell is usable by all Divine spell casting classes.
