Sunstone Gems are low value gems. The only purpose of collecting these gems is purely to sell them. They can be gained as random loot from from enemies who drop average loot. This item appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

In-game descriptionEdit

Sunstone is a feldspar jem, closely related to moonstone, and more properly known as oligoclase. Sunstone can be colorless or faintly greenish and of facet grade, but most common by far is its softer (cabochon) variety. This yields gemstones that have bright red or orange spangles (minute crystals) suspended in a nearly colorless background in a parallel fashion, giving the whole a rich golden or redish brown color.
