The Dead Shot, also known as the Longbow of Marksmanship, is an enchanted longbow in Baldur's Gate.
It offers a THAC0 bonus of 3 to the user and will add a damage of 2 to the arrows shot from it with a speed of 5.

- Used by and then looted from Hakt, a Hobgoblin guarding Tazok's Tent in the Bandit Camp (end of Chapter Three)
- Can be stolen from a Ghost Knight in the Firewine Ruins (the fourth from the left) (only in pre-EE versions of the game) [1]

He arranged for the theft of his opponent's bow, and on the day of the contest he couldn't help gloat in his advantage. The Duke of Delthuntle, known only as Raymond, demanded a demonstration of Edwall's skill on a scarecrow that he had placed. Edwall Dest drew his longbow and released the arrow with determination, not stopping to think how uncannily the target resembled himself. Trivia[]
- In the original Baldur's Gate, the bow itself is not enchanted, as Protection From Normal Weapons wasn't implemented in that game. This was changed with the original Shadows of Amn and carried over into the Enhanced Editions. However, the item cannot be obtained via normal ways in the second part of the saga and is only contained in the game files.
- In addition to the locations given above, the bow is also carried by an unused instance of Coran's creature files,
