The Horn of Kazgaroth is unlike Claw of Kazgaroth in that it is not a cursed item and bestows its effects only upon the user when it's activated. This horn can be used as long as the wearer has enough HP. If it is activated, it will cost the user 10 HP to bestow the following effects for 18 seconds
  • Immunity to all level 1 & 2 spells
  • +2 all saving throws bonus
  • Armor class bonus of +5 against missile attacks

This horn can't be used by thieves, clerics or druids and all the class combinations having one of these classes. This horn is sold by Thalantyr the Conjurer at High Hedge. This item appears in Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, but also in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition for imported characters who have this item and if the player does not have The Claw of Kazgaroth and the Helm of Balduran.

This horn is thought to be made of one of the tusks of the great beast Kazgaroth. Who imbued it with its enchantment is unknown, but it is a very potent item. When blown upon, no sounds issues from the horn. Instead the user of the horn is encased in a globe of power for a short duration. The bubble gives the user partial magical resistance and a saving throw bonus, as well as partially deflecting incoming missiles attacks. The effect only lasts 18 seconds, and the horn draws from the life force of the user everytime it is used.
