Vail is the elven leader of an adventuring band whose other members were petrified and sold as 'sculptures' to Felonius Gist. Before the battle, he hid the Helm of Balduran and left the Cloak of Balduran to Quenash.
His comrades are Faizah Tin, Cailan, Achen Dell and Rance.
