The Voidhammer first appears in Siege of Dragonspear. After you collect the Voidstone Shards, Jegg in Boareskyr Bridge can forge one of four weapons, including this one. This item can be imported into Shadows of Amn LOGOSOA00001 Icon BG2EEBaldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition – Shadows of Amn (2013)

. It is later found at Bodhi's Lair.

It's worth noting that this weapon applies entirely magical energy damage (i.e., it does 1d4 + 4 magical damage, not 1d4 crushing + 4 magical damage), but is still considered a crushing weapon for Armor Class striking purposes.

Also worth noting is the fact it will do no additional damage with backstabs, critical hits or even the Swashbuckler/Kensai's bonus damage effect (nor will it be affected by Kai), as those only factor in physical damage.

Target creatures classified as Undead are not harmed by this weapon.

Description

Voidhammer

Voidhammer +3
To all appearances a standard war hammer, one lingering long in its presence will soon discover it is far more than that. Specially made by Jegg Hillcarver of Bridgefort, this hammer has several voidstone shards worked into its metal head. A powerful weapon when used against most targets, its one great deficiency is in its utility against the undead. Objects of the Negative Material Plane have no effect on the unliving; neither then does this normally devastating weapon.
